FIESTA IN THE GRASS was created by Harry Anderson in 1975 for an outdoor sculpture exhibition in the azalea garden of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to celebrate the upcoming U. S. bicentennial. The exhibition was curated by Mary Kilroy. In 1976 Anderson will use the installation documentation to create a silkscreen print, titled FIESTA IN THE GRASS. He will also use these images along with the documentation of other site specific works that incorporated Fiestaware in his artist book, FIESTAISM.
