Harry Anderson's art work has always been connected with an affinity towards the found object. They were used first in site specific installations, then in the mid eighties the pieces became unified objects in the form of a light sculpture. Anderson has a passion for items that were mass-produced in the United States during the early and mid twentieth century. They are the materials that both inspire and make up his work. Here the artist creates sculptural lamps / illuminations out of found objects. Employing materials as varied as household items found at flee markets and tools and equipment from industrial salvage yards he creates artworks that are both whimsical and thought provoking.
