The workshop focused on found objects as the major source of material used in the creation of sculptural and/or functional pieces. The scope of objects used ranged from natural, to everyday consumer items, to esoteric industrial or architectural artifacts. One consideration was the recycling of objects no longer wanted for their original purposes. Participants were encouraged to bring a stash of stuff to be used or contributed to a materials exchange. The making of unique works that reflect the different visions of those individuals participating was encouraged.  Partispants included Shan Ellentuck, Jack Ferriday, Yvonne Parker, Griffin Pero, Kerri Pero, Eric Toscano and Joanna West.

Harry Anderson’s work has always been connected with an affinity towards the found object. They were used first in site specific installations then in the mid eighties the pieces became unified objects in the form of a lamp or light sculpture. Harry is a full-time artist whose past teaching credits include Moore College of Art, North Country Studio Conference, Pilchuck and Haystack. Anderson received his BFA from the University of Illinois and MFA from Penn State University. He has received grants from the NEA and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts
